New Family Dog is guitar player Jon “Blackdog” Ridnell’s latest musical incarnation with his son Miles Ridnell on bass and vocals, combining his funk and jazz roots with the bluegrass music he has absorbed living in Nederland, Colorado. With a repertoire of around 500 songs including hundreds of originals, New Family Dog can perform as a duo as well as in larger combos featuring Steve Saviano on drums, Pete “Solid” Goldberg on keyboards and Dave Lyons on percussion.
